This policy explains what EntityFinder.us collects and what it does not. It is written to be read rather than to be technically complete while telling you nothing.
Searches
When you search a business name, that name and the state are sent to our lookup service so it can query the register. Searches are cached for a period so that repeating one is fast, and the cache is keyed on the name and state. We do not attach your identity to a search, and we do not require an account to run one.
What we collect
- Standard server logs, including IP address and browser user agent, kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Aggregate analytics about which pages are visited and which searches are run, used to decide what to build next.
- Nothing you type into the search box is sold, shared or used for advertising.
Affiliate links
Some links to business formation services are affiliate links. If you follow one and sign up, we may be paid a commission at no additional cost to you. Our current formation partner is Northwest Registered Agent, and those links are tracked through the Awin affiliate network, which sets a cookie to attribute the referral.
A search result is produced from the state register before any affiliate link is shown, and what the register says does not change based on who pays us.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and the affiliate network sets its own cookie when you follow a partner link. We do not run advertising trackers.
Third parties
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the request. Official register data is retrieved from the relevant state agency or from published bulk data. Federal trademark data comes from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
